AI's Impact on the Creative Industry: Opportunities and Challenges

Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into various industries is well underway, and the creative sector is no exception. AI sounds very exciting these days. Rational Human intelligence immediately thinks this is a life hack. How can I cheat and make easy money? How can I show myself as smarter, and more creative? And how can I fool the world? However, fundamental economic principles would not allow this. The first AI users and those who adapt to this process the fastest and understand how AI works will only gain some advantages

Social media is already started to fill with many useless videos and content that lead people to use multiple AI tools to make passive income from lying down. None of the systems would ever allow this to happen. If something gives a result too good to be, it is immediately controlled by the system. Life would sometimes make exceptions like what happened in Bitcoin. However, the system would update itself and would not allow this to continue. In this article, I aim to explore how AI impact on the creative industry and how will it shape the future.

Will people lose their jobs?

Yes and no. As technology continues to evolve, humankind should also keep up with it. Art movements have changed throughout history. For example, sculptors, the creatives of the Ancient Greek period, became painters when the painting movement began, and became photographers with the invention of the camera. Professions like ceramic artists disappeared with the industrial revolution too. However, a new profession has always emerged to replace the lost professions. We are currently going through the same process. In the future, AI-related professions such as AI designers and AI coordinators will likely replace those that have disappeared.

AI cannot do anything by itself. Just as a camera cannot take a picture without a photographer, a pen cannot draw a picture without an artist. Therefore, new professions will emerge for those who can use this technology correctly in the future. Therefore, learning how to best use and control AI is very important right now because this technology is the future.

The Complementary Relationship between AI and Creative Professionals in the Future of the Creative Industry

AI won’t be causing the extinction of creative professions anytime soon. What humans can still give and what AI cannot give are human feelings and thoughts. Writers and artists add a feeling, a soul, and a piece of themselves to their artworks. But AI only reveals what it has been taught. For example, if artists like Shakespeare and Picasso had not created magnificent works, AI would not be able to reference them and produce fascinating results.

AI will of course make our job easier. The automation of routine tasks is a significant advantage that AI brings to the creative industry. Tasks such as colour correction, image processing, and basic design creation can be automated, freeing up time for creative professionals to focus on more conceptual tasks such as ideation and problem-solving. The automation of routine tasks not only saves time but also leads to improved efficiency, and faster project turnaround times. According to a study by Accenture, AI is estimated to increase productivity in the creative industry by up to 40% by 2035.

No matter what, humans should always do the last touch. If we just rely on AI and get lazy, we won’t be able to put new artworks into the world. The development of this technology also depends on us. AI will also yield better results if we improve ourselves. For this reason, creatives will still exist under different titles in the future.

Legal and Moral Implications of AI-Created Work and Addiction to AI

As well as the beneficial aspects of AI, it will also raise some legal and moral question marks. If the created work was created entirely by AI, who will own the rights to the work? is it AI? You? Or is the owner of the AI company? People who become addicted to AI achieve success by fooling the world, they will have AI subscription cuts from their salaries if they do not invest in themselves. Whenever you are asked to give a personal performance when there is no electricity and internet, you will not be able to do anything. That’s why we should aim to control AI and be better than it.

In conclusion, the impact of AI on the creative industry is evident, and its integration into the creative process is well underway. AI brings the art movement of the future. As always, we are witnessing a new revolution in art again. This cycle will always continue to exist as long as technology and people continue to develop.
